“Flying Colors” was the pronouncement of the veterinary surgeon about the Greyhound named Last Hope, the girl with a potentially life-threatening heart murmur. But during her consultations with specialists, she did beautifully and we have nothing more to worry about.
Both the cardiologist and the surgeon agree that the little girl with big ears should live a long and healthy life.
We were sleepless the night before her procedure, worrying about what might lay ahead. But Hope herself was never worried.
In fact, of greatest interest to her was the array of tiny dogs parading around the veterinary hospital’s lobby, tantalizingly beyond her reach.
Here’s a photo of Hope on alert in the waiting room with her foster, Allan (left); and Charles holding Eugene, left, and Yvette, right.
And there’s Hope being led into the hospital for her procedures.
Hope’s ability to see specialists owes everything to your financial aid and to the good vibes you sent her way. Together, we made it happen!
You have my deepest appreciation
